About Graham St. Wall Bracing Design
DME recently teamed up with Custom Demo and Dismantling and Brasfield & Gorrie on a expansive project in Charlotte, NC! DME handled the temporary bracing for a historic building storefront at 6th and N. Graham St.
The building, formerly known as Fourth Ward Bread, is getting a major reno! Firstly, saving the front portion of the building, the project will include 8,000 square feet of commercial space and have natural gathering spaces created by the mixture of historic and modern setbacks.
This project is all about preserving the awesome brick façade of the old building while new construction goes up around it. DME designed a temporary wall bracing structure that fits perfectly with the new building’s floor, roof, and foundations. Plus, we made sure our foundations didn’t mess with public utilities along N. Graham Street.
Our crew worked closely with the contractors to ensure the temporary bracing steel meshed smoothly with both the old and new building components.
Check out this article from Axios about this ongoing project.
